Our Greatest Fear
by Marianne Williamson
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our dark-ness,
that frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
handsome, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are
a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the
world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory
of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine, we
consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated
from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Sharing the passion

“Take a Kid
Fishing”
I
have been blessed with the opportunity to share the passion
of fishing with deserving kid's within our community.
This is "Hayden", my newest fishing buddy. Hayden
and I had an opportunity to spend a day on the water this
past June at Lake Grapevine in Texas. Hayden definitely has
the passion for fishing and I look forward to spending more
days on the water with Hayden. If you know of a deserving
child who would enjoy spending a day on the water
with me, please send me an email with the name, phone number,
and some brief information regarding the deserving child.
Youth Ministry
I have been involved with
youth ministry, youth mentoring and athletic coaching for
over 19 years. Our youth today are constantly bombarded with
negative and destructive influences on a minute to minute
basis from sensory overload, to peer pressure, to music,
television etc. I have dedicated myself to work with our
youth because I believe in them. Our
youth are Good. I find it utterly amazing that only
the negative is reported on the news and very seldom do you
hear or see the positive. Our youth need to know they
are good. Our
youth need to hear it from all of us. It does take
a village to raise a child.
